Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mihaela Dragomir (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the musiky mobile app for iPhone and iPad and this website (together, the “Service”). musiky is an offline music player, and it is built to keep your music on your device and collect as little as possible. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

1. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
- Account (optional). musiky works without an account. If you create one to back up or sync your library, we collect your email address and a password (kept in protected form).
- Cloud backups (optional). When you create a backup, the playlists and liked songs you choose to save are stored on our servers so you can restore or sync them on your devices. Your audio files and downloads are not uploaded — they stay on your device.
- Connected cloud drives (optional). If you connect Dropbox, Yandex, WebDAV, ownCloud or Nextcloud to import media, the login details you enter are stored securely on your device to keep the connection. We access those services read-only to import the files you pick, and never modify or delete your files.
- Support. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Your library stays on your device. Your imported tracks, downloads, listening history, playlists and favorites are stored locally and are not collected by us — except the playlists and liked songs you choose to back up (above).
- Basic app configuration. The app contacts our server to load configuration and content. This request includes your device’s IP address, from which an approximate country/region is derived to tailor the experience. We do not use this to identify you.
- No analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any similar analytics or behavioral tracking SDK.
2. Advertising
musiky is free and supported by ads. You can remove ads by upgrading to musiky Pro. To show and measure ads, we work with third-party advertising partners whose SDKs may collect technical data such as device identifiers (including the Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA where permitted), IP address, coarse location, and ad interactions.
On iOS/iPadOS we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency before any tracking used for personalized advertising. If you don’t allow tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized using that identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

3. Purchases (musiky Pro)
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status so we can unlock Pro features, but we do not receive or store your payment card details. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
4. How we use information
- To provide and maintain the musiky app and website.
- To back up and sync your playlists and liked songs when you ask us to.
- To keep the cloud-drive connections you set up working.
- To show and measure advertising (for non-Pro users).
- To respond to your support requests.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- With our advertising partners, as described above.
- With Apple, for purchases and subscriptions.
- With the cloud drives you connect — only what is needed to sign in and read the files you choose to import.
- With the hosting/backup provider that stores your account and backups on our behalf.
- Where required by law, or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and backups until you delete them or close your account. You can delete an individual backup, sign out, or remove your account from within the app. Cloud-drive credentials are kept until you disconnect that drive. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you and keep records.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR) you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA) you have the right to know, delete and correct your information and to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” — note that we do not sell your personal information — and you will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

8. Children’s privacy
musiky is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure storage of credentials on your device and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including where our service providers and advertising partners operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice in the app or on this page.
